That aside, I can't believe you just said that to me with as straight a face as I imagine you're making, so by principle I'll have to accept.

[That's really more for Chris's benefit than Festival's, but if he's going to keep a human he's going to make sure he eats what a human needs to eat.]

I don't only eat meat! Mostly. Well...depends on the day.

[There's a smirk to his voice but then he continues. He'd intended to just let the call go until he got home, but talking to his partner while he shopped sounded nice.]

Snow yams grow on trees and taste like ice cream here does. Fire yams grow in the ground and taste like shite raw, but once roasted over open flame taste like nutty chocolate.

I thought yams all grew in the ground. I take it they're cold like ice cream?

Honestly, hadn't thought much of it, it's kind've a cold climate. I guess so? A bit colder than your palm, at least. Gpt a few of their seeds back home, guess we'll see how that goes for us. Above ground-yams. Yam fruits, maybe?
